Well, what an epic evening of wild and wonderful Celtic tales, a fast and furious adventure told in a gripping duet of ‘He’ and ‘She’
These stories, fruits of an ancient tree of tales, handed down across the ages, had us hanging on every delicious word and action.
We were tantalised by the mighty Fionn MacCumhaill, seeing him grow from young warrior to old man.
We dallied with Donn King of the world who sits at our side reminding us all that we are ‘not what we were’ as each day passes.
The passage of time waits for no man or woman, unless of course you have some magic on your side!
The warrior women were brave and inciteful and quite often saved the day with their cunning and fearless actions.
How wonderful for us all to be reminded of the power and force that women have had throughout millennia, holding it all together whilst raising the next generation to supply more ‘fruit’.
This was billed as a ‘work in progress’ but it was a polished piece of work, a ‘must see’ if you missed it in Newcastle. There were maybe a couple of sections that needed editing to make the audience experience less confusing but you would be hard pushed to see anything better than this.
We all eagerly await the next instalment of this epic story telling duo.
