Sally Pomme Clayton presents “Death and The Warrior Maiden”

A young man is running away from Death, and a warrior woman fights on horseback, in disguise. Discover rare story gems from the Silk Road. Meet the wildest warrior woman of all, descended from Black Sea Amazons and find the place where Death does not exist. These are stories of crazed desire, wild beasts, and a woman warrior who fights to the death. And discover the only thing that will stop death – the power of stories themselves. These passionate, hilarious and unknown stories are funny, fresh, and full of contemporary relevance. The epic of Dede Korkut is known throughout Central Asia and was written down during 14th Century, but it is still traveling the Silk Road. These wonderful stories reveal the richness of Central Asian culture and the deep value placed on storytelling where stories are more valuable than gold!
