Pyn Stockman tells Urban Forest Brew

A brew in of stories from the city streets and excavated edge lands

These tales from the wild green of the city spiral around one another and intertwine never written down, just passed along by word of mouth.

Pyn Stockman is a storyteller, story gatherer  and facilitator, in demand with communities across the Midlands including Regional Library Services and several Wildlife Trusts for her inventive approaches to co-creative story making and telling.
She is a resident storyteller at Balsall Heath City Farm; has worked extensively with Warwick Arts Centre and Birmingham Hippodrome and is a featured artist in Adverse Camber’s engagement programme over the past three years, including leading the Lincolnshire Folktales project and mentoring young storytellers.
She has several ensemble storytelling shows in her repertoire, including ‘Story Brew’ and ‘Tell it to the Bees’ which has toured with Live and Local, where she is an associate artist, capturing living stories of people and the land. “Story Tea” and “Tell it to the Bees” have both been funded by Arts Council England.

Pyn lives on a boat and has a studio space at Birmingham Friends of the Earth Warehouse. She can often be found on the tow paths or in and around the warehouse walking with and befriending stories old and new.
